In the centre of the village there is a pharmacy and also a doctor's surgery.

*L'Auberge des Carrières – Les Taillades (Belgians – ex-sous-chef Wout Bru – top quality – 48€ for 3 courses – nice terrace) – best quality in the region!

Shops:

There are two bakers and two butchers, and several cafes in Lauris.

Continue along the same road to Lourmarin, but turn right at the roundabout (centre commercial) there is a Super-U supermarket where you can find everything (super U Puyvert – voie communale Jas de Puyvert, 84160 Puyvert).

For wine from the cooperative, we go to Lourmarin, the cooperative's wine shop “Louérion” is located on the market square.

Babies/Children

Outdoor toys and bicycles can be found in the garage:

For indoors there is duplo, puzzles, reading books, memory, football table, ...

There is a sandbox with suitable toys

There are also 2 sets of petanque, badminton, tennis rackets, bicycles, etc. for the older kids.

Children's equipment can be found in the laundry room at the back of the garage:

Relaxation and excursions in the region

MISUSE

In the garage hang/stand 4 bikes for big and 4 bikes for small. Best suited for short trips. Check before departure that everything is secured and the brakes work. There is a tool kit (plastic box) and a compressor for the tires at the front of the gate.

SWIMMING IN A LAKE WITH A BEACH

CADENET
There is a lake with beach in Cadenet (le val de Durance) 5 min drive away: free sunbeds, ice creams and drinks available. Tel 0033 820 20 12 07. Address: Chemin Les Routes, 84160 Cadenet.

HORSE RIDING

TENNIS

In Lauris there are municipal tennis courts. 50€ for unlimited tennis for 1 week. There is an access code that you can get at the flower shop and at the butcher. Tel responsible tennis: 0033 646454226

OTHER SPORTS (basketball, skating, football)

In Lauris there is also a skate park, football field and basketball court (located behind the public car park in the village)

WALKING

In the house you will find travel guides and maps for your own planning. Please do not take them with you, the next guests will need them too...
Use the app “KOMOOT” and walk from Lauris to Lourmarin
At the end of the street you can enter the Luberon mountains and walk to Bonnieux (2.5 hours walk - 12km). Beautiful walk. The Luberon can be closed in the summer period in case of severe drought.

BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES & TOWNS

Lourmarin: the most charming village in the region. Numerous art galleries, boutiques with clothing and interior, the grave of Albert Camus in the cemetery, the castle of Lourmarin, cozy terraces and restaurants, an ice cream bar,…
Cucuron is an unknown gem. Drive up to the large water basin (Le bassin de l'Etang) on the square. Stroll through the old centre.
Bonnieux is a picturesque village in the Luberon mountains with beautiful views and souvenir shops. Also Oppède, Lacoste and Ménerbes are small nice villages in the “Petit Luberon”.
Want the Mediterranean? Marseille is an hour's drive away. The harbour area with "quai des Belges" and the nearby harbour towns such as La Ciotat and the picturesque Cassis with its beautiful harbour are worth a visit.
In Cassis you can rent a boat + captain for 700€ for 4 hours of exploring the Calanques (visiting beautiful rocks, swimming, snorkeling, fishing). http://peche.calanques.com/blog/private-rental/
You can eat on the beach in Cassis in the brasserie “Le Grand Large”.
If you like seafood and local fish, choose a restaurant around the pleasant seaport (they usually do not take reservations).
Cities Avignon and Aix en Provence are recommended (parking Pasteur). Avignon can be parked well under the central market: you drive right around the remparts and then left into the city in a kind of cave tunnel. You fall directly into the parking under the 'palais des Papes' ……

For the last hundred meters, it is best to orient yourself on the house no. 1250 and then you drive 70 meters further on a private gravel road. The holiday home is located 300 m further, against the side of the slope, at the end of a gravel road of 200 m.
